BSF organizes Memorable Visit for 20 girl students of Kashmir to Gujarat

Bilkul News, Gandhinagar, Oct 1: A contingent of 20 Girl students from remote areas of Kashmir region comprising of different Socio-economic strata came to Gujarat Ftr BSF as a part of Bharat Darshan Tour which is being organized by Border Security Force.
 Ajay David, DC is the contingent Commander. The contingent reached Gandhinagar on 27th Sept, 2013. On their arrival at Ftr HQr Gandhinagar, they were extended a warm welcome.

During their five days stay, they visited various historic and tourist places of Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad i.e Sabarmati Ashram, Adalaj (step well) Kankariya Lake, Alpha Mall, Kids city, Vishno Mata Temple, Iscon shoping Mall, Science City, 91.1 FM Radio City, NCC Group HQ, Siddi Saied Mosque, Sabarmati River Front, Indroda Park, Lal Darwaza and Akshardham temple with water lazer show.
On 1st Oct’ 2013 they visited  Vidhan Sabha  and met Honb’le  Excellency Chief Minster Narendra Modi of Gujarat.
The same day,  A K Sinha, IPS, Inspector General and officers of Gujarat Frontier BSF interacted with the contingent and enlightened them with unique culture of the state and stressed upon the unity and integrity of the Nation.

The aim of the “BHARAT DARSHAN” tour is to expose these girl students to various cultures of the country and to see themselves the progress the country has made after Independence.
This step will prove to be an effective tool for their integration with National mainstream and send a correct message to the Border population of remote areas of Jammu & Kashmir.
At the end,  A K Sinha, IPS, Inspector General, felicitated them with mementos on the eve of their return to New Delhi on the 2nd   Oct, 2013.
Girls met the Chief Minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi :
On an all-India tour under the aegis of Border Security Force (BSF), a group of 20 Muslim school girls from various districts of Jammu & Kashmir called on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi here today.

"The group met Modi after visiting several tourist spots as they also watched the ongoing proceeding of Gujarat State Assembly here. They were impressed by the level of development in Gujarat, and also by the prevalent peace in the state after an interactive session with Modi" suggests a government press release which also emphasises both placing its headline and int he news item on the word "Muslim" and "peace".
